"Like boxing, life will constantly punch you in the face and knock you down, but that’s not important. What really matters is your ability to get back up and keep fighting."

Why do you travel?

"I travel because I want to gain new perspective on different cultures—including my own. It helps me better understand my life and other people's lives."

How have you surprised yourself in the last few years?

"I have raised a human! This to me is one unquantifiable accomplishment—she is a walking reflection of my love."

What field are you going into and how do you want to change it?

"I feel like [international affairs] is a little too passive nowadays … it’s just that nothing really gets done, so I just want to help move it forward."

What got you interested in the music industry?

"When I was a baby my mom used to sing The Smiths to me, which I say was both the best thing that ever happened and the worst thing that ever happened to me because I’m this really emotional Morrissey type."

If you could change one thing in the world, what would it be?

“That it would rain pizza.”

What kind of pizza?

“Cheese. Let’s be real."

If you could change one thing in the world what would it be?

"Judgment on others without knowing them.... You never know what kind of people you bump into."

“A Jesuit told me that the greatest sin we can commit is being ungrateful. I guess the biggest lesson I’ve learned this semester is to be grateful for every opportunity, experience, and person that has come into my life—good or bad."

What do you want to be?

"A public defender—or basically [work] anywhere where I can help people legally who usually can’t afford the better lawyers."

"I don't want to say a better person, but a different person."

Why do you want to go into law?

"I think in many cases youth aren’t taken seriously. I want to give children a voice."

Why are you wearing the definition of ‘other’?

"Wearing this shirt describes how I feel about this city…. I feel like I'm a part of San Francisco."
